Post-Hess, Lou held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales for fuel-oil terminal operator Castle Oil Corporation. Responsible for every facet of Castle’s fuel oil and homeowner sales, Lou oversaw all advertising and marketing campaigns, trade shows, sales training and business development.  Moreover, with a focus on customer satisfaction, Lou launched and developed Castle’s Customer Care Department. 

Garnering numerous honors, Lou is a two-time recipient of the Emma Lazarus award from The Associated Builders and Owners (ABO) of Greater New York and serves on its Board of Directors.  Lou has been recognized as well by the Manhattan and Bronx Board of Realtors as an affiliate Member of the Year and by the Building Managers’ Association as a Member of the Year.

Committed to service on both the professional and personal levels, Lou enjoyed a 15-year tenure as Vice President of Cooley’s Anemia Foundation of Westchester, which honored him in 1999 as Man of the Year.  Similarly devoted to his alma maters, Lou acts as a fundraiser and student mentor at St. Raymond High School for Boys in the Bronx and speaks on career development at Montclair State University’s School of Business.
A resident of New Jersey, Lou enjoys golf and trapshooting. He is a member of White Beeches Golf and Country Club in Haworth. He coached little league baseball and recreational basketball for 15 years in Park Ridge. There he lives with his wife Mary Lynn, who is Chief Operating Officer of Homewell Senior Care, with offices in River Edge and Clifton. Lou founded this family-run business with his son Louis Jr. Lou is the proud author of  "Fish Farm", his debut novel, "Anxiety's Nest", a compilation of poems and the most recent novel "BESA", the second of the Gino Ranno series.
