Upon the acquisition of Stuyvesant by Hess in 2008, Janet partnered with Lou Romano to create INFORMA energy, Inc. INFORMA offers technical advice on the procurement of energy as well as securing information on the most up to date technology.

In 1979, Lou’s energy career began when he moved from Duracell and Bristol Meyers to oil refiner Amerada Hess. As a Hess account representative, he rose to sales manager and handled all sales to residential and commercial real estate customers in Manhattan as well as transportation fuel sales throughout the metro region.

JANET GAROFALOW - President

For the past twenty years, Janet Garofalow has served in varied capacities in the energy industry. Most recently, she was an Assistant Vice President for Stuyvesant Energy where she managed and maintained commercial and industrial natural gas and fuel oil accounts in the New York metropolitan area. Janet’s expertise in natural gas consulting is well known to clients who consistently applaud her comprehensive knowledge regarding a complicated energy sector.

LOU ROMANO - Chief Executive Officer

Louis Romano, most recently an Executive Vice President of Stuvyesant Fuel Service and Stuyvesant Energy, has served the greater metropolitan area’s energy sector with distinction for over thirty years. While at Stuyvesant, Lou expanded and energized the company's fuel oil, natural gas and diesel markets. After Hess’ acquisition of Stuyvesant Fuel in 2008, Lou launched INFORMA energy, Inc. with Janet Garofalow, offering advice and information to clients regarding the procurement of natural gas and electricity as well as on options for the latest efficiency technology.
